Frequently Asked Questions

Scanning

Open ScanFlow and tap the large Scan button on the home screen. Point your camera at the document — the app will automatically detect the edges and capture it. You can also tap the shutter button manually. For multi-page documents, keep scanning and the pages will be combined into a single PDF.

Ensure adequate lighting, hold your device steady, and place the document on a flat, contrasting surface. The app uses automatic edge detection and enhancement, which works best with good contrast between the document and background. Clean your camera lens if needed.

Yes! ScanFlow supports multi-page scanning. After capturing the first page, continue scanning additional pages. All pages are combined into a single PDF document that you can then edit, reorder, or export.

PDF & Export

Open a document and use Quick Share to export. You can choose Email Ready (original quality), Quick Message (compressed for messaging apps), or Print Ready (full resolution). You can also export as JPG images, PNG single page, or OCR text only.

Yes! Tap the Merge button on the home screen. You can add documents from your ScanFlow library, iCloud Drive, or Photo Gallery. Arrange the order, then tap Merge to create a single combined PDF.

Cloud Sync

All your documents are stored locally on your device. ScanFlow does not upload your documents to any ScanFlow server. You can optionally back up to iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive — in that case, files go directly to your personal cloud account.

Go to Settings > Cloud Storage. You'll see iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive. Tap the service you want to connect and sign in. Once connected, you can upload documents to a /ScanFlow folder in your cloud storage.

Privacy

ScanFlow only accesses your camera when you actively scan. It does not browse your photo library unless you explicitly import from the Photo Gallery. All document processing happens on your device — nothing is sent to external servers.

Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling ScanFlow deletes everything. There is no account to close and no server data to request deletion of. If you've backed up to cloud storage, delete those files from your cloud account directly.

Premium Features

ScanFlow is free to download and includes basic scanning and folder organization. Pro features — including no watermark, share & export, cloud backup, OCR recognition, document signing, and merge — are available through an optional subscription: $29.99/year (with 7-day free trial) or a one-time $69.99 lifetime purchase.

Yes, ScanFlow works fully offline. Scanning, organizing, signing, OCR, and all core features work without an internet connection. An internet connection is only needed for cloud backup/sync and restoring purchases.

Go to Settings > Subscription and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account that was used for the original purchase.
